New Wheels for Raffle Winner Mason Simpson

4-year old Mason Simpson wins new bike in Slough Canal Festival charity raffle

Four-year-old Mason Simpson was the lucky winner of the Slough Canal Festival raffle, sponsored by Slough Urban Renewal, taking home a brand new Belter bike by Early Rider and cycling helmet.

The annual event, held by Slough Borough Council on 10th and 11th September, is fun for all the family with boat trips, arts and crafts, fishing, a mobile farm and kid’s activities. The raffle raised £250 for the Mayor’s charity, with prizes kindly donated by Stow’s Cycles, Stubbings Property Marketing and Lego.

Mrs Simpson, Mason’s mother, said: “Mason is so excited to win a big boy’s bike. He’s just moved up from his balance bike and now there’s no stopping him!”

Alastair Gourlay at Slough Urban Renewal added: “The festival was a wonderful event and a great opportunity for us to share our vision for Slough and our plans to rejuvenate the town, which are already well underway. Congratulations to Mason on winning his new bike and I’m sure he will set a fine example to all Slough residents thinking of swapping four wheels for two!”
