The Role
We are offering a one year, full time placement for a student to become part of our busy property marketing consultancy. The role will encompass a wide range of opportunities and responsibilities and will provide the successful candidate with exposure to the full spectrum of sales and marketing disciplines within the new homes market.

From working alongside our market research team to appraise proposed residential schemes to being a part of new development launches, handling customer enquiries and participating in a variety of sales and marketing meetings, the role is both challenging and rewarding.

Over the year, there will be an opportunity to be exposed and involved in all elements of the selling and marketing of new homes. From creating a new brand for a forthcoming development and coordinating the delivery of a corresponding sales brochure to preparing a launch strategy, identifying the best channels to market and devising key sales messages, we are involved from an early stage. We then take our customers through the entire journey, generating and handling initial customer enquiries, recruiting and training a sales team, setting up the necessary legals and (if necessary) a management company, through to conducting an official sales launch and managing the purchaser all the way from their first visit to site, through to reservation, completion and the eventual handover of their new home. By joining our team, you will be involved in all elements of the sales and marketing process.

We work with a broad range of housebuilder clients providing sales support as well as a tailored consultancy service. This post will provide the right applicant with an opportunity to experience all elements of the new homes industry and we would be happy to tailor some of the activities undertaken to meet the right candidate’s specific area of interest.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Market research – working alongside our market research team you will draw on a wide range of demographic and statistical data to appraise proposed development sites. Our detailed reports draw on a variety of information from sources from the ONS and the Land Registry, all the way through to scouring Rightmove and speaking directly to new development sales teams. You will be responsible for pulling together a broad selection of information to be analysed and presented within our reports.
  • Marketing – we provide a range of consultancy services to our new homes clients, advising on everything from branding, property mix and specification to delivering detailed launch strategies. You will play a role in helping to compile and deliver a range of marketing reports, as well as handling day to day client enquiries, speaking to suppliers and co-ordinating all manner of activities from booking a photo shoot to ordering promotional materials, liaising with design agencies and attending sales launches.
  • Sales support – from handling incoming enquiries and logging them onto our customer database to spending some time on site in a live sales suite, you will be involved in the direct selling of our clients’ homes.

The role will predominately be based in our Marlow head office, with occasional travel to our client’s various developments – currently based in Slough and Brentford.
