Local charity picks up prestigious award

Wow! Well done to the team at Learning to Work, who have just been awarded a Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. This is a fantastic achievement for this Slough based charity and is testament to the great work they do for young people across Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead – introducing them to the world of work and offering vital insights and training across a host of sectors.

Ourselves at Stubbings Property Marketing have had the pleasure on working with the team at Learning to Work across a number of their initiatives, from attending careers and information days to more recently, participating in a virtual work experience exercise that introduced school, pupils to our company and the variety of roles available here.

The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service aims to recognise outstanding work by volunteer groups to benefit their local communities. It was created in 2002 to celebrate The Queen’s Golden Jubilee. Recipients are announced each year on 2nd June, the anniversary of The Queen’s Coronation. It is the MBE for volunteer groups and is awarded for life.
