Stratfield Homes assists its local Fire Station

Last week, Stratfield Homes was delighted to assist its local Fire Station. The Station conducted a realistic drill, which took place at the former Travis Perkins builder’s yard in Hartley Wintney, where the developer will soon be delivering a collection of new, family homes.

After being approached by Hartley Wintney Fire Station, Stratfield Homes agreed to allow the local fire brigade to set up a simulated exercise at its new site, ahead of any building works commencing here. The exercise stimulated a 'persons reported' scenario, which involved the use of harmless synthetic smoke to help create challenging conditions for the fire crew to conduct a 'search and rescue' inside the building.

A spokesperson from Hartley Wintney Fire Station, said: “A huge thank you to Stratfield Homes for allowing us the opportunity to hold a realistic training exercise at the old Travis Perkins site in Hartley Wintney. While we did conduct a door knock ahead of the exercise, among the site’s immediate neighbours, we hope this did not cause anyone any great concern or inconvenience. These type of opportunities are few and far between and are hugely valuable, enabling us to offer our team a realistic scenario that provides vital training.”

Paul Cooper, Managing Director at Stratfield Homes, said: “We were very happy to be able to assist the local fire brigade in their recent training exercise. Earlier this month we secured planning permission to deliver a new collection of homes on the former Travis Perkins builder’s yard in Hartley Wintney, so with building works due to commence shortly, this was a one-off opportunity for the station to run such a valuable , training exercise.”

This bespoke development will comprise a collection of two, three and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached houses. All of the homes will benefit from off-street parking, garages/car ports along with private gardens.

Further details will be made available very soon. Anyone who would like to register their interest can do so via the Stratfield Homes website: https://www.stratfieldhomes.co.uk/register/
