Stubbings team supports Learning to Work business insight day

Last month, the team from Stubbings Property Marketing joined fellow business volunteers at Ditton Manor in Berkshire to support a business insight day, hosted by Learning to Work.

A group of year 10 pupils from Lynch Hill Enterprise Academy participated in the event, which focused on the world of hospitality and the role of sales and marketing. The pupils learned about the value of creating a brand and the key elements involved in the successful delivery of a sales and marketing campaign. They were then divided into smaller groups for a practical task, which encouraged them to put some of these elements into practice, before presenting their ideas back to the wider group.

Helen Todd, Managing Director, Stubbings Property Marketing: “Yet again, the Learning to Work team facilitated a valuable event, which enabled a group of students to get a real insight into the world of work. I was really impressed by the students and the level of effort they put into the task they were set, and their presentations. Marketing covers such a broad spectrum of skills, and spans all sectors, offering an exciting and varied career path. I hope that the students enjoyed the day and that the event got some of them thinking (and maybe even enthused!) about a future career in marketing.”

Rachael Burt, CEO, Learning to Work, said: “A huge thank you to the Stubbings team. You were brilliant with the students and your input meant we were able to achieve some great outcomes for the students.”

Helen Todd is a Director and trustee for Learning to Work.
