Last weekend, the last of the purchasers moved into their new home at Milestone (off Ledgers Road), joining the thriving new community, which is already building here.
Milestone is the flagship, residential development by Slough Urban Renewal (SUR) – a proud partnership between Slough Borough Council and Morgan Sindall Investments Limited. Committed to transforming the borough through a broad range of residential and commercial projects, SUR is focused on investing in both the town and its people.
Unlike many other developers, SUR gave priority to owner occupiers, keen to build much needed new homes and to create a new community too. 100% of the homes here were in fact sold to owner occupiers and just under half of purchasers (48%) came from the local area. A further 22% of purchasers have moved from London, attracted by excellent connections into the Capital and more affordable house prices.
First launched in summer 2016, the collection of 73 homes, a mixture of one and two-bedroom apartments and two and three-bedroom houses, the development has been popular among local buyers. The Government’s Help to Buy initiative was widely used, with 78% of buyers using Help to Buy to assist them with their purchase.

Milestone has now sold out. However, SUR has recently launched its second residential scheme, Wexham Green a collection of 104 two, three and four-bedroom homes.
