Teacher and first time buyer Shannen O’Connor came across Novus Apartments in Slough when she was searching for a new home, within an easy commute of the capital.

Having rented for a number of years, Shannen was keen to purchase a home of her own and was looking for an area that would offer her a better cost of living and quality of life, but was still within easy reach of the school, where she teaches in West London.

Talking of her purchase, Shannen said:
“I am so pleased with my purchase at Novus. When I first came to visit the development, I was very impressed with the show homes, they were so spacious, and the apartments felt really fresh and airy. Talking of her home’s location, Shannen added:
“It’s such a short walk to the station, which means I have an easy commute into London for work. What I also love is the fact that everywhere is so accessible. I wasn’t particularly familiar with the area, but Slough has really worked for me. Being a teacher, I work long hours and it’s ideal that I can get to London Paddington in just 15 minutes. It’s also great to have Eton and Windsor just around the corner. There are so many lovely pubs and shops to explore at the weekend and I have been really enjoying getting to know the surrounding areas.”

Talking of Help to Buy, Shannen added: “I wouldn’t have been able to purchase a new home without the Government Help to Buy scheme. It has meant that I have been able to move out of rented and into a home of my own.”

Concluding on her buying experience, Shannen has only praise for the sales team at Novus: “I couldn’t have asked for more from the sales team on site. They were so friendly and helpful and always happy to go the extra mile. As I was new to the area, they provided me with lots of information and recommendations for shopping, cafes, sport facilities and pubs etc. I can’t thank Tracey and Tom enough for supporting me throughout my buying process and beyond.”
