SUR submits planning for new family homes in Burnham

Following an online public consultation, which took place this September/October, Slough Urban Renewal (SUR) has submitted a detailed planning application for a new residential development in Burnham.

The Haymill site, which sits between Burnham Lane and Littlebrook Avenue is located on brownfield land, owned by Slough Borough Council.

SUR is proposing 33 new family homes on the site, comprising two, three and four-bedroom houses, along with a central green amenity space. The development would include 30% affordable homes, to meet local housing needs.

Andy Howell, General Manager at Slough Urban Renewal (SUR): “We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who participated in our recent public consultation and for taking the time to share your thoughts and opinions on our exciting plans. We have taken all the feedback into consideration and we have now submitted a detailed planning application. We are confident that our proposed development on this vacant plot of land will deliver much needed housing in this thriving part of Burnham.”

The proposed development site is surplus to the requirements of Slough Borough Council and has been largely unused for the last 10 years.
