Supporting a mock interview day with Learning to Work

Earlier this week, our Managing Director Helen Todd took part in a Year 11 Mock Interview Day at Holyport College - organised by Learning to Work.

The event invited a group of students to apply for a range of hypothetical roles, preparing their CVs and putting together a supporting cover letter. They were then invited to participate in an interview scenario, where a group of local business people had volunteered their time to conduct a mock interview and provide feedback.

Helen Todd said: “It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning at Holyport College. The students did themselves and their school proud. It can be a daunting time when you are first applying for a job and attending an interview. This session gave students some vital tips and advice on how to pull together a CV and a covering letter, as well as giving them the opportunity to get a taste of a real interview scenario.

"Learning to Work run some fantastic initiatives across the borough and at Stubbings, we are very proud to support their team in this vital and incredibly rewarding work.”

Reflecting on the day, Learning to Work team said: “Thank you for providing your invaluable support to Year 11s at our Mock Interview Day at Holyport College. The students really benefitted from interacting with you and learning about the world of work. The feedback from students and staff alike has been highly positive.”

At Stubbings, we are always keen to take the time to support local schools and initiatives, and it is fantastic to see the activities organised by Learning to Work having such a positive impact on young people, first entering into the world of work.
